As an interactive design project, I examined the interactions and user experience surrounding the generic web CMS. Along with an analysis, I produced a visual prototype.
Over the course of a semester, I installed and used a large number of CMS platforms, some more successful than others. I also completed multiple rounds of user testing.
I found that rigid conformity to predefined content types was a serious issue for users. In response, I prototyped Artemis, a CMS with flexible content types.
